February Girls!
February Girls!
Well hello there!
I love to try new things - to push past what I know (and know how to do) and to forage into unknown territory. Inevitably, in doing so, I often discover happy accidents... as well as a fair share of unforeseen problems.
When I set the goal to make 500 Calendar Girls for 2016, I knew it would be a challenge. I drastically underestimated that challenge. The holidays are a busy time of year in general, but the 2015 holidays hit me like a ton of bricks being launched from trebuchets in every direction. I have tried to be a little off-the-radar for a bit because all signs were definitely pointing towards me needing to slow down and take a break for my own health and sanity. That helped tremendously, so now I think we can pick up the pace a little.
So, long story short - I still have 2016 Calendar Girls! A LOT of 2016 Calendar girls. And they are finally ready to be shared with you lovely folks!
Im going to be releasing them again in batches - about 25-30 calendars per batch over the course of a few days. The listings will be posted in my shop right here, and the release schedule will be as follows:
February Calendar Girl Release Schedule
Sunday, February 21st at 9pm PST
Monday, February 22nd at 10am PST
Monday, February 22nd at 10am PST
Tuesday, February 23rd at 12pm PST
Wednesday, February 24th at 2pm PST

For those of you who may be new to this site or to buying calendars, I recommend taking a look at this post for some troubleshooting tips! The price for this new batch of calendars will be reduced to $75 each, and all girls include the full deck of 2016 calendar pages.
I will also be doing a giveaway on Instagram! Ill put details up over there soon:)

February Currently and a Surprise Party!

I feel like I always have so much to do and such little time. So I am finally going to start planning my engagement party for this July. I was holding back for a while because I was planning my honey and his twin brother a surprise 30th birthday! I did it this past Friday and O.M.G were they surprised! It made me giggle because when my fiances brother walked in everyone yelled surprise! He still had no clue what was going on. LoL Too funny! My fiance was definitely surprised. Here are some pics we took.

The twinnies and I! Dont they look alike? Gosh I hope I have twins.
Anyways moving on.
This is my favorite picture. I made the posterboard at Staples for just $10! I had everyone sign the posterboard as they walked in. That was them when they were babies and when they are grown up. I obviously didnt know my fiance when he was a baby but when I picked this up at Staples I almost cried. They are just so stinkin cute and to see them now when they are grown up, its just liked ugh my heart melts. =) I just love them both so much!
Those are beer mug candles at the end of the table! Arent they amazing!!! I thought it was so them for beer mug candle centerpieces. Everyone loved it!
Finally I got each of them this cute little mug I saw at Party City.
We had the party at a venue and included for the night was dinner, beer, wine and sangria! Lets just say everyone had a little too much fun and didnt want to leave!
So happy I put this party together. I wanted them to have a memorable 30th birthday party and I think they did. I coulndt have done it without my soon to be mother-in-law. My goodness I am so grateful for her. Shes amazing!

February 2016 Desktop iPhone Wallpapers
Welcome to the first installment of my 2016 iPhone and desktop wallpapers! Yep, I missed January (oops). It was fun to get back in the swing of graphic designing with these guys. I didnt realize how much I had missed it!
This month, Ive got three renditions of the design - theyve got the same background, but theres a calendar option, a quote option and a blank option. So many options!
For these wallpapers, my inspiration came from a little escape I went on with my husband to a tiny island in the Bahamas for a few days. Our last night there, we witnessed the most beautiful sunset as we sat out on a pier sipping our final fruity cocktails for the week. I couldnt get over the "golden hour" light that spread out all over the calm waters. I wanted to freeze time and have it stay like that forever. Of course, I couldnt do that, so I snapped a photo instead.
Peaceful, isnt it?
For the wallpapers, I snagged a little corner of that photo and turned it into the wallpapers youll see below.
The calendar and blank ones are pretty self-explanatory, but the one with the quote from C.S. Lewis might be my favorite of the bunch.
